In Ayurveda, Kalonji oil, known as Krishna Jeeraka Taila, is revered for its ushna (heating) and tikshna (penetrative) qualities. It balances vata and kapha doshas, making it effective in promoting digestion and respiratory health. Kalonji oil is traditionally used to support skin purification, aiding in the treatment of blemishes and acne through its krimighna (anti-microbial) properties. It also nourishes the scalp and strengthens hair, combating premature greying and hair fall. This oil is also consumed to enhance metabolism and overall vitality, in line with rasayana (rejuvenating) principles.
